Can the tread pattern change within the same tire model?

The simple answer is yes!

The pattern can change in most of these cases depending on the width of the tread (additional blocks or grooves may be added), as well as on the presence of homologation.

There are other, rarer cases where the tread pattern may differ even within the same model. For example, the pattern may differ for tires produced at different factories.
