Summer passenger car tire Interstate Van IVT-1 from a well-known Dutch manufacturer is designed for minibuses, light trucks and other commercial vehicles of low carrying capacity, operated in the city and on highways.
The tire was specially developed for the new generation of light commercial vehicles and, according to the manufacturer, combines a long service life with a high level of driving comfort. The symmetrical non-directional tread design is typical of the new generation of light truck tires. The tread pattern consists of two central ribs and two shoulder zones. This solution allowed for a large contact area, combined with a very even distribution of weight over its entire area, which, accordingly, significantly improved grip on dry surfaces and increased the strength of the entire tire. In addition, the Interstate Van IVT-1 tire, due to this arrangement of tread elements, demonstrates extremely low rolling resistance, and therefore excellent fuel efficiency, which is an important indicator of the economic efficiency of commercial transportation.
Also noteworthy is the S-shape of the two central ribs, which significantly reduced the noise level, thereby making the ride more comfortable. Another distinctive feature of the central ribs is the presence on their surface of S-shaped transverse self-locking sipes, which, increasing the rigidity of these tread elements, improve the efficiency of acceleration and braking, and their placement on the surface of the ribs with a variable pitch also helps to reduce the noise level.
This tire, thanks to three deep and wide drainage longitudinal grooves, is characterized by excellent resistance to aquaplaning, which allowed the tire to demonstrate stable and safe driving behavior even on very wet roads.
