The asymmetric tread pattern of the MP 16, compared to its predecessor MP15, provides an optimal combination of tire properties such as durability, safety and comfort. Reduced tire noise levels improve comfort, while a new compound, new profile and new tread block configuration ensure longer tire life. In the production of the tire, a new VOC FREE technology was used to produce an ecological silicon-based tread compound with a very low rolling resistance coefficient and a high level of adhesion to dry and wet surfaces.
