The Pro Comp Xtreme Mud Terrain mud tire is a new addition to 2007 from Pro Comp. Built with the successful ProComp Mud Terrain principles in mind, the Xtreme MT is an excellent combination of off-road performance and durability on a variety of surfaces, while maintaining low noise levels on the roads. More sophisticated than the Pro Comp Mud Terrain, the Xtreme Mud Terrain mud tire features more aggressive shoulder lugs and a triple ply casing for improved off-road traction and sidewall protection.
Design elements include the Amor-Tek3 Carcass Construction, a heavy-duty frame of two radial polyester bases and one corner polyester body for triple protection against tears and dents. “Deep Retaining Lugs” are aggressive tread designs that span even the sidewalls of the tire to improve traction on soft surfaces and provide extra grip on rocky terrain.
The Procomp Xtreme Radial MT mud tire is thicker and more puncture resistant than many other popular radial tires on the market. The Xtreme M / T is made from what Procomp calls the Xtreme Traction Compound, and features 3-layer sidewalls on all tire sizes. The “3-ply” sidewall construction is combined with two layers of opposing steel belts and a seamless nylon layer that wraps around the tread surface. The new tire will give your car maximum grip in mud and snow, as well as behave well in sand. On the street, it makes a slight noise and ensures long-term tread durability.
